As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Access in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and employee access, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a controlled environment. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper staging or check-in areas.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by screening inbound and outbound traffic, verifying delivery appointments and/or paperwork as directed, and communicating access approvals or denials to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or access concerns, and report findings through required reports and systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
