Job Description




As a Security Officer - Part-Time Perimeter Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control with courteous interactions, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, following established check-in, badge, and escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying the appropriate parties per post orders.
  • Complete routine reports such as patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate security-related observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
