What You'll Do:


Performs a variety of repetitive duties to set up and operate a rotational molding machine to produce various sizes of plastic containers and custom products. Performs a variety of secondary operations to roto-molded products as required.



  • Works from both written and verbal instructions.
  • Understands and follows standard safety and manufacturing procedures as documented.
  • Understands and follows established company and department policies and procedures.
  • Uses a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries and other equipment used in the production process.
  • Reads and understands basic information on blueprints and manufacturing work orders needed to produce product that meets required specifications.
  • Performs or assists in machine operations to set up and service molds, monitor instrument controls, check product quality, and make adjustments as required.
  • Demonstrates and shares technical knowledge with others in training.
  • Performs secondary operations on molded product as required.
  • Maintains established Pelican quality standards.
  • Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Maintains daily production and other records as required.
  • Operates a rotational molding machine with minimum supervision.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • 3rd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6:15am Eastern Time



What We're Looking For:



  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.


  • Must have basic math skills including binary operations (+-/*) and decimal/fraction conversions.


  • Must be able to read and record measurements with precision and accuracy; identify and utilize detailed part names, numbers, and critical characteristics.


  • Must have ability to learn/use a variety of measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, inside/outside micrometers, verniers, pin gauges, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, and dial indicators, optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines.


  • Must be able to follow written and/ or verbal instructions with manual or electronic reporting of results.


  • Must be able to learn, comply, communicate and report compliance or deviation to processes and product quality standards.


  • Must have ability to complete work under minimal supervision.


  • Must be able to work in various production areas including, but not limited to, receiving, warehouse, quality control, assembly/fabrication, rotational molding and injection molding.


  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively and cooperatively both verbally and in writing with vendors, contractors and employees at all levels of the organization.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1 year operating plastic molding machine or similar machinery operation experience.
  • Must be able to understand and follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Must be able to operate machinery and controls.

What you may be doing:



  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican's objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
