The Dispensary team is responsible for dispensing and receiving supplies and equipment for dental and hygiene student and faculty in the Dental Clinic. The team also ensures that all supplies and equipment are clean and sterile before being used for patient care. Job Description
The school of Dentistry is looking for a reliable and self-motivated clinical Technician II to work both independently and in a team environment as part of our Dental Clinic dispensary Team. This position is a workplace learning environment, offering opportunities for on-the-job training and development to help support Faculty, staff and students and is a place for all to excel and grow professionally. Applicants with work experience related to customer service, food service, or safety support are highly encouraged to apply! You will be part of a team effort that provides student education and dental care for the community. You will work with pleasant and outgoing people from different departments throughout the building. One of the brightest sides of working at the dental school is meeting all our new students for the first time and greeting them with a smile. Our vision is to help dental and dental hygiene students achieve their goals to be the best-qualified clinicians upon graduation. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential in all aspects of the position. It is critical that the person in the job understands the importance of infection control procedures and following procedures and policies, recognizes names and uses of dental equipment t and complies with OSHA, Hazmat, and UMKC guidelines. Job Duties:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience is necessary from a comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of dental materials and equipment Previous experience with detail-oriented tasks Previous experience in a customer service environment Willingness to learn and participate in safety trainings Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard computer systems Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 - $17.00 per hour. Application Deadline
