About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Asset Management Specialist (Mid-Level) to support enterprise IT asset operations for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This role is critical to ensuring the accurate tracking, accountability, and lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets supporting thousands of end users.

The Asset Management Specialist performs day-to-day IT asset management activities to ensure complete lifecycle accountability across the enterprise. This includes receiving, staging, deployment coordination, tracking, documentation, reporting, and audit support in alignment with ISS2 PWS and federal asset management requirements.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining asset accuracy, supporting procurement coordination, and ensuring compliance with federal property standards.

Key Responsibilities

    Maintain accurate IT asset records within enterprise asset management systems

  • Receive, store, stage, distribute, ship, and inventory accountable IT hardware and software assets

  • Track capitalized IT assets including peripherals and accessories

  • Process asset requests and coordinate deployment to end users

  • Perform asset tagging, barcode labeling, and data entry

  • Support audit activities, reconciliation efforts, and inventory validation

  • Coordinate with procurement teams for new asset acquisitions

  • Process asset transfers, relocations, and disposals in accordance with policy

  • Maintain documentation supporting asset workflows and compliance standards

  • Generate asset inventory and utilization reports

  • Ensure adherence to federal property management and accountability requirements



Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience supporting IT asset management

  • Experience with asset delivery, staging, tracking, deployment, license management, and disposal

  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems and barcode scanning tools

  • Familiarity with federal property management requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience

  • Substitutions (per contract guidelines):
    • No degree: 2 additional years of experience

    • Associate's degree: 1 additional year of experience

    • Master's or PhD: No additional experience required

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ITAM platforms

  • Knowledge of federal capitalization thresholds and depreciation practices

  • Understanding of software licensing and compliance fundamentals

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for inventory tracking and reporting

  • Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or staging operations

  • Demonstrated accuracy and process discipline

Background Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
