Description

The Credit Program Manager works independently under the general direction of Director of Credit Administration. The position directs the work of Credit Analysts who spread financials statements, analyze cash flow, assess repayment ability relative to credit requests and prepare written comments on the overall financial condition of companies. ANB places a high value on credit files and credit presentations that "tell the story." This position is responsible to ensure that credit files clearly document the risks and mitigations of every credit relationship. Oversight includes ensuring that credits adhere to existing credit policy guidelines and applicants are credit worthy. The position is also responsible for all the aspects of the Credit Analyst Training Program and facilitates the delivery of the internal and external training, leadership development, and mentoring to team members.



  • Builds an effective, efficient, tenured team through formal and informal coaching, hiring, training, motivating, and recognizing performers
  • Manages Credit Analyst development throughout a 12-18 month program and assist them in securing a position with the bank for which they are qualified
  • Develops and maintains curriculum, training materials, analytical tools, and rotation schedule for the Credit Analyst Training Program
  • Creates and recommends Credit Analyst's incentive plans
  • Partners with management to increase and enhance commercial loan production
  • Provides support to the commercial lending staff through collaboration efforts with the Credit Officers
  • Oversees the organization and distribution of presentation materials for various loan committee meetings
  • Develops a personal program for maintaining an adequate level of knowledge in banking matters, competitive factors, leadership techniques and personal skills in order to ensure an acceptable degree of performance
  • May require work on physical bank premises


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in credit analysis; 3+ years supervisory experience


Skills:



  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint; basic keyboarding and calculator skills, must be able to perform advanced math and carry out complex written instructions
  • Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
