CLASS A TRUCK DRIVER

(Monday - Friday) 8:00AM-4:00PM

Under the supervision of the Fleet Driver Supervisor, this position is responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials to and from Masters Gallery Foods manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers as directed by our in-house dispatch team. Routes will be planned to meet delivery requirements. Responsibilities may also include using a standup forklift to unload product.

Qualifications & Skills:



  • Proven experience as a Commercial Class A Truck Driver - 2+ years preferred.
  • Valid truck driving license (Class A) in good standing; no serious tickets or accidents in last five years; no DWI/DUI in last 10 years.
  • Must attend and obtain Certification from Fox Valley Technical College Truck Driving Refresher Training at the Company's expense - up to 3-week course, depending on experience.
  • All Commercial Motor Vehicle Operators (CMVO's), including those with CDL and non-CDL licenses, must be medically qualified. Acceptable proof of examination is a fully complete Federal Medical Certificate (Fed Med Card).
  • Understand all applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to drive several hours daily.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
  • Ability to adapt to short lead times and changing customer needs as directed by dispatch.
  • Ability to learn to operate a stand-up forklift safely and successfully. Previous forklift and warehouse experience required.
  • Ability to learn the ERP warehouse system is preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally assist in the warehouse.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections of vehicles and/or trailers for mechanical items and safety issues.
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from the Company's manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on the vehicle as necessary. Report any problems to management.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions and manage routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Understand how to use an Electronic Logging Device to document and log work and rest periods. Retain daily fuel receipts to be turned in at the end of your shift.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Fleet Driver Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, Director of Distribution and Fulfillment, and/or Transportation Manager.
