Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 Director | Treasury (enterprise)
  • Reports to: Vice President of Finance & Accounting

  • Location: Reasonable commuting distance of Green Bay or La Crosse, WI. Eligible candidates must reside in WI, MN, MI, or IA at the time of hire.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will lead Bellin Gundersen Health System (BGHS) treasury operations and liquidity management strategies, while supporting and enhancing our external financial institution relationships

Major Responsibilities:

1. Develop and lead processes related to cash and investments, debt and related compliance and Treasury objectives. Compliance includes adherence to BGHS's investment policies and debt covenants.
2. Responsible for efficient processes and procedures that adequately control Treasury activities, including statement reviews, reconciliations and daily cash and investment updates.
3. Manage BGHS financial institutions who invest our funds and have custody of our cash & investments. Additionally, oversee bank relationships including bank account management, having proper disbursement processes and coordinating with other Finance and key stakeholders across BGHS.
4. Develop and monitor short-term and long-term financial forecasts and reporting to ensure sufficient funds are available to cover operational and cash investment needs.
5. Ensure timely and accurate payment of all debt and debt related obligations.
6. Support management in any debt related changes (issuance, restructuring, master trust indentures, etc.)
7. Oversee BGHS's records of tax-exempt finance assets and ensure compliance with treasury related IRS regulations.
8. Assist in preparation and presentations for rating agencies, investment committee and other key stakeholders.
9. Review financial statement disclosures related to cash, investments, debt and swaps to ensure accuracy and compliance with disclosure requirements.
10. Prepare treasury related budget and forecast assumptions including interest expense, investment income and related balance sheet projections.
11. Review and approve treasury related activity within the various systems.
12. Act as a subject matter expert for operational treasury related matters on various initiatives, as well as active participation on various internal investment committees (retirement plan, Foundation, etc).
13. Develop and implement improvement opportunities for efficient Treasury operations.
14. Support external auditor requests.
15. Direct and manage Treasury operations team.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Certification/Registration/Licensure: CPA Preferred

Experience: 10+ years experience in healthcare, banking, or public accounting is preferred; as well as experience with treasury related functions (cash management, bonds, investments, banking relationship, etc.).

Candidates ideally will live within a reasonable driving distance to La Crosse or Green Bay, WI. This isnota fully remote position and will require on-site needs.
