Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Research Assistant for the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
This role involves coordinating patient recruitment, enrollment, randomization, and de-identification; administering questionnaires and conducting testing; performing
ELISA biomarker assays and processing serum and
PBMC samples; managing and analyzing data; and carrying out venipuncture procedures.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Patient recruitment enrollment, randomization, and de identification.
- Administer questionnaires and testing.
- Running ELISA biomarker assays, processing serum/PBMCs.
- Data handling and analysis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior experience must include performing ELISA and PBMC processing.
- Experienced in calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and conducting ELISA data analysis, including generating standard curves, calculating unknown concentrations from absorbance values, and performing curve fitting using Excel.

- Expertise in the proper handling of serum, plasma, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
- Skilled in centrifuging, aliquoting, and cryopreservation techniques, as well as precision pipetting and accurate plate layout design.
- Proficient in running and troubleshooting 96-well plate assays, using plate washers and readers, and preparing standards, buffers, and reagents according to kit instructions.
