Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Tracy, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to client staff, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail location areas such as entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized entry, assist with visitor sign-in, and observe for suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Complete routine shift reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and client contacts per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security Experience - 2+ Years is required.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
