Overview
Placement Type: Permanent Salary: $55,000-60,000 Salary Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 The Data Processing Representative is responsible for the integrity, cleansing, and preparation of client data for large-scale mail and print production. While we use industry-specific postal software, expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is the most critical requirement for this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented "data sleuth" who can transform messy client files into organized, production-ready databases. Employment status: This is a non-exempt, hourly full time position. Hourly pay (approx $26.50-29/hr) will be based on a salary ($55-60K). Workers also qualify for overtime hours. This is direct-hire placement. There is no end-date. Key Excel & Data Responsibilities Data Cleansing & Normalization: Use Excel to import, scrub, and format various client data types. This includes splitting strings (e.g., separating names from addresses), assigning salutations, and standardizing currency/decimal formats. Complex Data Manipulation: Perform "Merge/Purges" across multiple files, identify and remove duplicates, and isolate sensitive information (IDs, account numbers, etc.) to ensure data integrity. Logic-Driven Formatting: Create labeling lists and variable data sequences for complex merges based on specific client business rules. Data Troubleshooting: Analyze client files for inconsistencies or malformed addresses; coordinate with Sales and Customer Service teams when data needs to be re-exported or corrected. Secondary Duties (Training Provided) Compliance & Liaison: Coordinate with the USPS Postal Liaison to ensure jobs meet "Seamless" e-induction requirements and postal regulations. Variable Data Design: Use Adobe InDesign and plugins to merge cleansed data into visual layouts, ensuring fonts and scales match client specifications. Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of client-specific processing templates and software update procedures. Requirements & Qualifications Advanced MS Excel Skills: You must be comfortable with advanced functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, If/Then statements, and Text-to-Columns). Strong Attention to Detail: A "near-perfect" accuracy rate is required when handling sensitive client information and postal barcodes. Analytical Mindset: The ability to look at a raw data file and determine the most efficient way to "clean" it for production. Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple data streams and deadlines simultaneously. A Sense of Humor: We work hard and value a positive, adaptable team culture! Note: Experience with BCC Mail Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, or USPS Postal One! is a significant plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses elite Excel and data-entry skills. Benefits include: * Paid Holidays (6) Interview process: 2-3 onsite interviews with management #LI-JM5 | |
