Position Overview
Seasoned professional in the business development job family; full competence in functional area.Manages program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.Knows when to escalate problems/questions to a higher level.Works with internal and external customers. Supports organization's processes for developing high quality proposals.

Role and Responsibilities:
-Responsibilities and duties include:
-Works with the capture and operations departments to solicit, review, and write responses to RFPs.
-Identifies innovative ways to improve efficiency of proposal process.
-Contributes to department strategy; works independently with input in complex situations.
-Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services or processes.
-Provides leadership to ensure proposals are completed in accordance with the customer (internal or external) requirements and coordinates the activities of other professionals/analysts assigned to support the project/program/initiative.
-Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
-Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience including formal and informal mentoring.
-Accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all agreed-upon deliverables.Ensure that task related products are consistent in format and content with overall required deliverables.
-Routinely engage with the internal partners and customers to coordinate activities.
-Often leads and coordinates the work of project teams (within the respective department and cross-functionally outside of the respective department)
-Demonstrate ability to serve as the project/program lead for a moderate-sized opportunity/project/program/initiative.
-Identifies and communicates opportunities to develop current and prospective business areas and offerings.
-Shares knowledge and supports peers, staff, and others to increase skills, foster improvement and enhance outcomes.
-Performs work under minimal supervision.
-Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
-Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
-May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
Skills:
-Ability to understand an internal or external customer's needs and translate them into meaningful solutions; leans forward with recommendations/solutions.
-Coordinate the work of multiple professionals/ analysts to achieve a cohesive final product/service/solution/deliverable.
-Successfully oversee the development of analytical and business studies and complex analysis, resulting in final reports, recommendations and presentations that explain complex thoughts, results, and analysis.
-Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions / best practices; continually seeks updated knowledge on issues impacting current programs/projects/processes.
-Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures.
-Exhibits functional and operational proficiency in solving highly complex problems in specialty area (Security, Finance, Acct, Contracts, HR, BD etc.)
-Apply lessons learned and skills to solve problems significantly different than those previously encountered.
-Demonstrate ability to take a complex problem, break it into manageable pieces, prioritize the order that they should be addressed, and assign them to others based on their strengths and abilities.
-Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.Brings forth creative and innovation ideas and solutions.
-Organizational skills, Planning, Oral and written communication, Leadership skills.

Required Experience:
-Managing and producing proposals on classified systems and networks
-Using AI tools for proposal management and writing in accordance with corporate guidelines
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree & 6-12 Years of Experience
Or
-Master's Degree & 5-8 Years of Experience
Physical Requirements:
-Frequent sitting for long periods using computer keyboard, zoom conferencing, Microsoft teams, telephone etc.
-Regular standing and walking to file documents, make copies, meet with leaders / employees in other parts of the building etc.
-Keyboarding - Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.
-Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
-Some work (less than 5%) may require moving and lifting of heavy objects.
Travel: Up to 20% CONUS travel
Clearance: TS, with SCI eligibility desired
