The Enterprise Systems Developer II works on the Enrollment Technology Team within UT Dallas' Offices of Admissions and Enrollment Operations to support the admission and enrollment components of the Salesforce
CRM platform, other directly related enterprise application software systems, and departmental and other related campus users.
Specifically, this position acts as a Saleforce developer and administrator, working across multiple Salesforce modules including Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and plug-in applications such as events and middleware solutions. Supports prospective student recruitment and admission application systems, processes, and integrations. Performs development, system administration, testing, and debugging, and resolves unusual or unique problems in Salesforce and other enterprise systems. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
- Experience as a Salesforce developer or administrator is highly preferred
- Certified Salesforce Developer and/or Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field with at least five years of technical experience
- Experience with Boomi integration platform
- Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and CRM Analytics
- Familiarity with Salesforce add-on modules from third party application providers

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Serve as a system administrator and developer/analyst for the Salesforce CRM platform, deployed to more than 200 technical and functional users, specifically related to Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Loader, Flows, Omniscripts, Data Mappers, Flexcards, Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Perform all basic administrative operational tasks and functions, including but not limited to reports and dashboards, new feature development, debugging.
- Complete new development and debugging projects; develop new solutions for small and large projects across multiple platforms, with a focus on Salesforce, and work with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
- Implement feature enhancements through coding and configuration for the recruitment and admission Salesforce CRM platform, data mart reporting framework, Boomi middleware software, and other enterprise application systems.
- Responsible for software design, development, and configuration; version control; tracking; server-side scripts; and testing and implementation of new configurations and fixes from lower test environments to production.
- Utilize Boomi, Informatica, external data loads, FormAssembly, Blackthorn Events, and other integrations.
- Perform regular maintenance of the admission and enrollment components of Salesforce Education Cloud and implement needed fixes in a timely manner.
- Work with the Office of Enrollment Operations leadership team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, operational, development, and change management activities.
- Collaborate with University stakeholders across academic and administrative units and at all user levels, from functional end users to technical staff, to perform needs assessments, requirements analysis, project prioritization, and technology consultations related to Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
- Research future enrollment technology strategies, vendor solutions, and automation tools, including AI; provide input into technical management; and, work towards a software development roadmap including systems integration processes.
- Develop and foster a customer-focused culture within the Enrollment Technology Team based on information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) industry standard practices, resulting in the alignment of enrollment technology services that meet or exceed institutional needs.

Remote Work Notice
Following successful completion of an initial training period, a
hybrid work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval.
Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
