DIRECT HIRE ROLE IN HOUSTON, TX

Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will design and develop automated solutions and system integrations to optimize business operations. This role involves gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications, and delivering scalable, reliable solutions that meet business needs. Strong collaboration skills and technical expertise in solution design, cloud services, and programming are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline business processes.

  • Cloud Integration: Architect and manage integrations between systems and AWS services, ensuring seamless data flow.

  • Solution Design: Build scalable, reliable integration solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

  • Testing & Validation: Conduct and oversee testing to ensure automation and integration solutions function reliably and securely.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, workflows, and system configurations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative automation solutions.

  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide high-level support for existing solutions, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience delivering IT solutions across cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and .NET for development and automation tasks.

  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS).

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and data integration methodologies.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code).

  • Experience using AI to enhance productivity and SDLC activities.

  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.

  • Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking.

  • Eager to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical paradigms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Daily work involves analyzing data, communicating effectively, and performing stationary computer tasks.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and moving around office environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10% travel to other sites, including out-of-state, if needed.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
