  • Location: Groton Sub Base

  • Shift: Monday through Friday: 7:00 am through 3:30 pm; Occasional nights and weekends required

  • Work in inclement weather required


As our Landscaping Quality Control Supervisor, you'll be the person who ensures every project reflects excellence - not by chance, but by process, leadership, and accountability.



  • Conduct daily, weekly, and projectbased quality inspections across multiple sites, documenting findings with precision.

  • Develop and maintain QC checklists, standards, and performance benchmarks for crews and subcontractors.

  • Identify deficiencies, root causes, and corrective actions - then follow through to ensure resolution.

  • Provide handson coaching to landscaping crews to reinforce best practices in horticulture, turf care, irrigation, equipment use, and safety.

  • Collaborate with project managers to align QC expectations with project timelines, client requirements, and operational goals.

  • Review work orders, service reports, and project plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Monitor material usage, equipment condition, and crew productivity to support efficient operations.

  • Serve as the onsite point of contact for QCrelated client questions, concerns, or feedback.

  • Support training initiatives for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing staff.

  • Ensure all work adheres to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, recommending process enhancements and operational adjustments.


What You'll Need:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid RealID

  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience of commercial or large-scale landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control - landscaping QC is ideal, but QC experience in construction, facilities, grounds, or similar fields is highly valuable.

  • Experience developing or implementing QC processes or SOPs.

  • Strong observational skills and the ability to evaluate work objectively.


Bonus If You Have These Skills:



  • Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, turf management, or landscape construction.

  • Basic proficiency with mobile apps, digital forms, and documentation too

  • Clear, confident communication skills - written and verbal

  • Ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable

Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Walking long distances across varied terrain (grass, gravel, slopes, uneven ground) during site inspections.

  • Standing for extended periods while observing work or conducting evaluations.

  • Bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching to inspect turf, plant beds, irrigation components, and equipment.

  • Lifting, carrying, or moving materials, tools, or equipment up to approximately 40 lbs as needed for inspections or demonstrations.

  • Using hand tools or small equipment occasionally for verification or training purposes.

  • Climbing in and out of vehicles frequently throughout the day.

  • Maintaining mobility and alertness while navigating active work sites with crews, equipment, and vehicles present.

  • Working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity.

  • Exposure to dust, pollen, soil, fertilizers, mulch, and other landscaping materials.

  • Occasional exposure to noise from mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment.

  • Navigating active job sites where heavy machinery may be in use.

  • Interacting with natural elements such as insects, wildlife, and dense vegetation.
