Position Title: Data Analyst
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Reports To: Corporate Financial Systems

Position Summary

The Data Analyst plays a key role in turning data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role is responsible for querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to create meaningful dashboards and KPIs that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical foundation, is comfortable working with data visualization tools, and understands basic financial concepts to effectively interpret and communicate performance trends. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, clarity, and relevance.

Key Responsibilities



  • Write and maintain basic SQL queries to retrieve, filter, and summarize data for reporting and analysis
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics that support business objectives
  • Translate raw data into clear, visual insights that are easily understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics, validate data, and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Analyze trends related to revenue, cost, margin, and performance to provide meaningful insights
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data requests as needed
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a data, analytics, or reporting role
  • Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write basic queries
  • Experience building dashboards and working with data visualization tools
  • Foundational understanding of finance concepts such as revenue, cost, margin, and performance tracking
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain data insights clearly
