The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Microanalysis Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. In this role, you will join Entegris' Micro-analysis team, which is developing a method to evaluate the particle size distribution or pore size distribution based on SEM or 3D confocal images. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge analytical instruments and contribute to method development and routine analytical services.
What You'll Do:
- Perform and present analytical test results to Senior Scientists and Engineers.
- Become proficient in advanced analytical tools including: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Confocal 3D Fluorescence Microscope, Microscope FTIR
- Develop and iterate upon test methodologies.
- Discuss test results and suggest future project directions.
- Support routine analytical services by analyzing samples from other teams.
What We Seek:
- Open-minded and eager to learn new techniques.
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
- Knowledge in analytical or organic chemistry or digital imaging analysis.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
- Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science.
- Graduation Year: 2027 or later
Eligibility:
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
- Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program
- Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
