As the Digital Care Transformation (DCTx) Head at UCB, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of digital health across the U.S. Immunology landscape. This newly created role places you at the forefront of transforming how patients, providers, and health systems experience care.

The Digital Care Transformation Head leads both the external implementation of digital health projects across the healthcare ecosystem and the internal development of the organization's digital health capabilities. This dual focus ensures that digital health initiatives are aligned with the organization's mission to improve patient outcomes through collaboration, innovation, and sustainable impact.

This position is in our US corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Candidates need to reside within a 2-hour commute of the Atlanta, GA office.

About the role

The primary focus of the DCTx Head candidate will be the implementation of a digital health program designed to support individuals living with a rare disease, in close collaboration with and shared objectives among the global DCTx team. Then, the candidate will co-develop a US-focused digital health portfolio, aligned with global DCTx and US Immunology priorities, and drive its implementation.

What you'll do

  • Lead US implementation of the innovative digital health program, partnering closely with Global DCTx leadership to ensure strategic alignment and local execution.
  • Define and execute the US digital health strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with Global DCTx and US Immunology priorities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end digital health portfolio lifecycle-from unmet needs discovery through incubation, launch, and scale-using agile and change management best practices.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships across providers, health systems, digital innovators, and policy stakeholders to drive adoption and impact.
  • Establish portfolio governance, performance tracking, and risk mitigation while owning a multi-year digital health budget and ROI accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, data governance, and internal control standards across all digital initiatives.
  • Define and embed KPIs to measure clinical, operational, and ecosystem value; partner with Medical, RWE, and Market Access to generate evidence of impact.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to transition successful pilots into core tactics and scale high-value digital care solutions.
  • Serve as a digital health thought leader-shaping global strategy, driving internal transformation, and representing the organization externally through forums, publications, and case studies.

  • Global DCTx leadership, especially for the US implementation of the innovative digital health programs.
  • Medical, RWE, and Market Access teams when defining KPIs and generating evidence of impact.
  • Brand teams when transitioning successful pilots into core tactics.
  • External partners such as providers, health systems, digital innovators, and policy stakeholders.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience, and skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years in healthcare, life sciences, or digital health.
  • Minimum of 10 years in portfolio or program leadership.
  • Minimum of director-level experience, with the ability to operate seamlessly between strategic planning and hands-on project execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA) or advanced degree in life sciences, public health, business, or related field.
  • Direct experience in the health sector (e.g., hospitals, health systems, or clinical settings).
  • Proven experience in digital transformation, ecosystem engagement, cross-functional team leadership, clinical management and strong project management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical care pathways, digital health technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Self-starter, problem-solver, strong communicator, and comfortable with ambiguity.

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $184-$241k annually. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
