Job Description:
Your overall responsibilities will involve the management of drilling, fastening, jigs & tools and measurement activities to secure the industrialization of technologies and the implementation of robust processes. You will represent the Assembly Technology domain in front of the operational domains (quality, operations, logistics, ...), engineering and procurement in a manufacturing plant. Primary Responsibilities: Specify industrial jigs, tools and machinery for the industrial evolution: 35%
Define and prepare specification for Jigs & Toolings related to assembly of parts and components Prepare Technical Documentation for Call for Tender and support in the down selection of the supplier Analyse the technical capability of suppliers Analyse the technical Airbus standards to prepare the best in class solution for local purpose Ensure that the specification process and the technical down selection is in line with the Airbus rules and regulations
Support Production on critical disturbances related to assembly technologies and processes: 30%
Technical guidance and problem solving on specific technical issues Involve the wider network (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering) to effectively solve the technical issues Run PPS (Practical Problem Solving) on specific shop floor issues according to Airbus standards Define and implement short term and long term fix for issues related to Assembly technologies or processes (eg. drilling or fastening) Ensure the involvement of relevant Airbus specialists & Experts (from all across the world) to contribute to the elimination of critical disturbances
Development and implementation of new assembly processes and technologies: 30%
Create local technology strategy in line with global technology standards for drilling, fastening, jigs & tools for assembly and measurement Develop local solutions based on customer needs and airbus standards Implement new assembly processes and technologies on the shopfloor Align local assembly strategy with the central technology strategy Ensure the involvement of relevant Airbus specialists & Experts (from all across the world) to contribute to the strategy definition and deployment Take part in weekly team meetings with the transnational Assembly Technology Team
