Pathology Support Coordinator

Regions Hospital's Lab Administration Department is excited to welcome a highly motivated, quality-focused Pathology Support Coordinator to our team.

The Pathology Support Coordinator at Regions Hospital plays lead role supporting a team of pathology support staff, pathologists, and multidisciplinary care team members. Ideal candidates bring laboratory operations experience, enjoy leading teams, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment where their work impacts patient outcomes.

As a Pathology Support Coordinator you will:

• Oversees pathology office workflows, coordinates consultative, biomarker, and molecular testing, and serves as a central liaison to ensure accurate, timely diagnostic results.

• Coordinates the daily activities of the medical secretary support staff and provides support to the department pathologists and leadership.

• Performs duties such as case distribution, consultation requests, and other clerical duties related to pathology result reporting.

• Acts as a liaison with multiple departments and external customers. Is proactive and can provide direction that supports team performance expectations.

Work schedule: FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs. weekly) Day Shift

Required Qualifications:

Education: Associate Degree required, prefer Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Experience: 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative and secretarial experience in a hospital or health care setting. Pathology office experience highly preferred.
