Job Description
ECU Department of Economics is currently seeking a Graduate Hourly Research Assistant. This person would be responsible for pulling together an archive of professional development, professional writing, and presentation materials for students and postdocs on the CHEER grant.
They will focus on professional development material for people going into academia or research as a profession. For example, materials for professional communication, effective course design, assessment rubrics, classroom management, teaching philosophies, teaching portfolios, and best practices in college instruction. They will create resources on responsible conduct in research, peer review publication process, networking within the profession, peer reviewing for journals, establishing a research agenda, grant writing, grant management, managing and mentoring students, professional presentations, and other best practices in research. These materials need to be collected, curated, organized, and archived in an online format for the CHEER scholars.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Preference for graduate student in English, communication, educational technology or related field to curate and create professional development materials
