Production Supervisor, Precision Machining, Optimus

This Production Supervisor will report to production leadership and will be responsible for meeting production demand for the line by addressing bottlenecks, balancing workforce and developing countermeasures on quality and equipment issues. The Production Supervisor provides hands-on support, leadership, and direction to their direct reports including Technicians, Leads and Associates. The successful candidate for this position takes pride in their hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail. • Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned shift/employees to achieve the required quality and production goals. Maintain department records and inventories
• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with best time keeping practices and regularly monitor Tesla Track
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality
• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program
• Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and to ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies
• Provide the shift-to-shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals
• Communicate to employees all issues that affect the plant and perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Manager

• 3+ years in a leadership role managing direct reports
• 5+ years of experience in fast paced high volume manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity
• Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and computer skills using Microsoft Office is a must
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
