Northwest Milwaukee, WI 1st shift, 5am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday $17 - $19 p/hr Primary Responsibilities: The operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment and operating of a variety of machine shop equipment including; punch press, drill presses, saws, pneumatic, hydraulic, resistance welding and vibratory equipment as well as a variety of common hand tools. Duties: Supervised setup of machines for automatic operation where the selection of tools and sequence of operation requires minimal judgment Main the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety rules; report unusual conditions to supervisor. Move materials to and from work station as needed Obtain first piece inspection approvals from qualified personnel, for monitoring and maintaining in-process part quality on jobs run by self and performing to measured rate standards. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Use simple mechanical and electrical measuring devices to perform required tasks. Fill out necessary paperwork involved with each job Perform crimping, cutting, staking and spot welding parts in the proper equipment as required by the materials blue print or as indicated in the routing.
