Overview
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Public Finance Paralegal in the San Francisco office. What Will I do: Working under the supervision of attorneys, the Paralegal will support the delivery of quality legal services to clients by performing tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency. The Paralegal will be primarily responsible for the coordination of the document flow and activities of the financing team that are to be directed by Orrick in the area of Public Finance. Responsibilities include facilitating a wide array of tasks, including preparation of initial document drafts, facilitating review of and coordinating responses from Orrick to third-party documents, coordinating issuer approvals, filing forms and taking on the management of the transaction mechanics so that attorneys can focus on major legal issues, negotiation of business terms, financing strategy and business development. Responsibilities
The Paralegal is expected, once assigned to a transaction, to stay with it from beginning to end. In the case of clients who engage in multiple transactions, the Paralegal may be assigned to all transactions of that client in the future, necessitating that the Paralegal get to know clients and their staff, and be a key resource and focal point for the entire financing team. In many transactions, the Paralegal will have as much time invested as the primary attorney on the deal. Qualifications
California Requirements: In the California offices, paralegals must meet the qualifications, including compliance with the continuing education requirements, as set forth in the California Business and Professions Code, Section 6450 et seq. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between $58,000 - $83,500 Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
