Job Title: Supplier Development EngineerReporting To: Manager, OperationsWork Schedule: Onsite - Blacksburg, VASupplier Development Engineer Moog Blacksburg, VA Moog Space and Defense Group is the operating group with the longest heritage at Moog. Our Space & Defense team is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join us. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is based onsite in Blacksburg, VA. As theSupplier Development Engineer, you will: Work closely with Operations, Program Management, Quality, and Product Engineeringto assess supplier manufacturing capabilities and provide technical guidance to both internal teams and external partners. Your primary objective is to solve problems as they emerge in the supply chain, proactively mitigate future risks, and identify potential supplier issues that could influence sourcing decisions. You will help transform vendors into suppliers, and suppliers into long-term partners through relationship building and technical expertise. In addition to production support, you will contribute to material estimatingand DFX (Cost, Manufacturability, etc. ) Design-to-Cost (DTC) for development programs. Main Areas of Focus:
