Position Summary Outage Management is responsible for safe, reliable, and continuous operations: by scoping, planning, preparing, and executing refueling and forced outages.Objective of refueling outage management is to refuel the reactor, perform surveillance tests, meet licensing commitments, perform necessary corrective and preventive maintenance, and perform plant modifications to improve unit availability and reliability. Objective of forced outage management is to identify and correct the cause of the outage, minimize the duration of the outage, and perform other staged work to the extent it can be accomplished within the parameters of the forced duration. Outage management is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated summer intern to help support planning and preparing for future refueling outages. This role blends traditional outage planning with data analytics, visualization, and digital coordination tools, ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex information, creating clarity through visuals, and improving team workflows. The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced personnel. Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of the operation of Diablo Canyon Power Plant through the work they will be performing. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
