Short Intro and About the Job

The Danone North America Analytical Performance Center (APC) delivers productivity and efficiency by leveraging an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. We provide four areas of expertise: Reference Chemistry with Infrared, Rapid Microbiology, Allergens, and Sequencing with Bioinformatics. We are in the process of growing and adding programs to expand our food and beverage testing portfolio. We provide a competitive advantage to Danone with our plant-based methods and drive excellence with our dairy methods. This team also supports corporate DNA and international teams, where needed.

As a manufacturing SME, the Analytical Performance Manager will lead the allergens and rapid microbiology programs. This role will also support other expertise areas. The candidate will design experiments, develop methods, assess equipment, write and review reports, confirm metrics, manage equipment and inventories, demo and install equipment into manufacturing, and lead maintenance and calibration performance for the network. The candidate will maintain the laboratory quality management system according to ISO 17025 requirements. At the time of hire or as part of the candidate's development path, the candidate will take A2LA courses to support the lead for ISO 17025 activities. The candidate will function as support for manufacturing audits. The Analytical Performance Manager role is a backup to other roles on the team.

All team members work together to maintain the quality management system according to ISO 17025 requirements for scope and non-scope methods along with general condition of the laboratory. Within 6 months from hire or from the assignment of new responsibilities, the candidate will pass proficiency testing and training to become a certified analyst under the ISO 17025 accreditation.

We work with external laboratories, vendors, and universities to provide expert level support. The candidate will be responsible for ordering, sending samples for testing, reviewing results, and troubleshooting with our external partners. The candidate is responsible for supporting innovation, corrective action, training, and efficiency meetings with our partners, internal stakeholders, and leadership teams.

The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. To give our employees flexibility, Danone is a hybrid work environment.
