The Senior Income Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring day-to-day compliance with foreign, federal, state, and / or provincial tax laws. In addition, this role will also carry responsibility for preparing and overseeing the preparation for filing of federal and provincial income taxes. This is a very hands-on role that will include both preparation and review work.

This position will work under the direction of the Director of Tax.

Detailed Description:

  • Responsible for all tax matters (compliance, provision, audit, planning) related to U.S. international, foreign local country, Pillar 2.0, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions

  • Responsible for quarterly and year-end income tax provisions for U.S. international and foreign local countries

  • Monitor all U.S. international and foreign local country tax law developments

  • Manage all foreign local country and transfer pricing outside tax advisors

  • Responsible for the preparation and / or review of all U.S. international compliance forms (5471 / 8858 / 1118 / 8865 / etc.) and all supporting attachments

  • Responsible for the preparation and / or review of all U.S. international tax calculations such as GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTCs, Subpart F, etc.

  • Responsible for all company and related individual FBAR filings

  • Responsible for the preparation and / or review of certain foreign local country tax compliance filings (e.g., Canada)

  • Responsible for maintaining up to date tax attribute schedules and records for foreign operations (such as E&P, tax basis, PTEP, etc.)

  • Responsible for the preparation and / or review of reconciling all intercompany transactions for all jurisdictions

  • Responsible for the preparation and / or review of all cross-border transactions

  • Assist with merger / acquisition / transaction structuring and due diligence analysis

  • Assist with cash repatriation planning

  • Maintain and reconcile all foreign income tax accounts

  • Manage all foreign legal entity maintenance and planning

  • Assist with SOX controls documentation

  • Serve as the technical SME for all U.S. international tax matters and perform related research

  • Prepare and / or review other U.S. federal and / or state income tax compliance and / or provision items as needed

  • Other duties and projects which could include areas outside of international tax

  • Share knowledge across the organization both inside and outside of Tax

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a broad range of U.S. international and domestic tax law provisions

  • Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and soft skills

  • Ability to make and support decisions regarding tax matters

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of total international and / or federal large corporate income tax experience

  • 5+ years of experience with ASC 740 provisions and income tax compliance

  • 4+ years of income tax experience with Big 4 accounting firms or national accounting firms

  • 3+ years of international corporate income tax experience

  • 2+ years of managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Masters of Science in Taxation (MST)

Supervisory Role: Yes

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment. The job may require some overtime including weekend or holidays.
