The Engineering Technician II provides engineering support to all divisions and departments of the company. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data for capital and developer projects and company reports. Maintains current distribution maps, fire hydrant records and all drafting support services. Assists all divisions with inspections and preconstruction meetings as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Support Engineering & Planning Development water main installation and replacements, construction and detour plans, material lists, bid forms, secures local and county soil erosion approvals, and assists with contract preparation and execution.

  • Manage all developer contracts and water main extension projects related to organic growth across all divisions.

  • Monitor the will serve letters and new business packages for water main extension and developers projects

  • Maintain and organize filing for all developer projects in the local drive.

  • Coordinate with the GIS team to implement changes and additions to the systems.

  • Review plans for all water main extension and state relocation projects, project cost estimate and material lists, and package preparation for contractors.

  • Review materials submittal related to developers and main extension projects. ensure submittal are in compliance with Aqua specifications.

  • Ensure fire hydrant approvals are received for all new contracts and maintain fire hydrant records and billing for all divisions.

  • Assist all divisions with inspections and pre-construction meeting.

  • Performs other assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree required

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Able to work independently
