Database Developer

CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

Summary:

The Database Developer will work in coordination with and in support of Civilian Database Developers and Data Center Database Administrators to provide high level expertise in information modeling and requirements analysis to develop/maintain full attributed logical and physical data and business process models.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide for the design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of database tables, functions, and procedures
• Provide query development support for Middle Tier Java developers
• Monitoring of database and application response times
• Integration of systems and/or interfaces into the application architecture through database design
• Coordinate administrative tasks, as well as support process improvement activities
• Work in a dynamic environment with talented team members to deliver quality software capabilities

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to assess and understand system and functional requirements
• Ability to understand QA processes and follow QA process guidelines
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) or more years of related experience
• Pass an employer background check Ability to get a National Agency Check (NAC) Investigation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or other computer-related degree/experience)
• Professional experience with Oracle 19C Database Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• Experience with or functional knowledge of three-tiered architecture: Front-End (web server), Middle Tier (application server), Back-End (database server)
• Unix/Linux Operating System Dell TOAD DBA Suite for Oracle Apache HTTP Server Apache Tomcat JBOSS Application Server
• Common software: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, MS Office
