We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator/Maintenance Person to join our Asphalt Plant Team and assist with our Cheyenne & Laramie, WY locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Operate and maintain asphalt plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment.
  • Assist with operation of Asphalt plant when needed, asphalt production, loading trucks, etc.
  • Assist with diagnosis and repair of Asphalt Plant and related equipment.
  • Participate in quality control and safety programs.
  • Ability to follow Knife River, OSHA, EPA and DEQ Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Operate equipment, perform asphalt plant maintenance, and other misc. duties as directed by supervisor
  • Ability to work in all types of weather.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations . Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • At least One year of experience working in Asphalt Production preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge including diagnosis and repair procedures.
  • Need a positive attitude with the ability to work well with others and follow directions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel between Cheyenne and Laramie, WY asphalt plant locations
  • Must be willing to work overtime, nights and weekends
