Job Purpose:

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records. Develops and implements plan for lean/6 Sigma deployment within the plant. Provides progress reports and action plans for lean/6 Sigma implementation.Manage NCMRs to ensure timely closure.Drive failure analysis investigations by utilizing engineers and other resources. Prepare presentations for internal and external review as needed.

Work closely with other engineering specialists to focus onPCBA manufacturing. Help optimize the efficiency and quality output for these types of products. Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action requirements. Extract and analyze yield data to identify areas for correction and/or improvement. Maintain direct contact with the customer to review current issues and present quality data. This position focuses on PCBA products but may include other aspects of the CM manufacturing process.

Education and Experience:

-5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer

- Bachelors of Science, Coursework or project background with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Quality Control (QC) procedures and quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Design of Experiments (DOE).

- Six Sigma and/or Lean-Kaizen experience is a plus.

-Proficiency in computer skills.

-Personable, must interface well with customers.

-3+ years ofPCB andPCBA Experience required.

Strong PCBA background managing the quality and the output.

Contract Manufacturing Experience required

Salary Range(annual): $93,000 - $103,000 . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
