Overview

R&P is looking for a responsible Mission Systems Analyst to perform a variety of programmatic, integration, and engineering driven tasks. Duties of the Mission Systems Analyst include providing support to our PMS 500 client by assisting in the areas of Exterior Communications, C4I Equipment Integration and Installation, Shipboard Propulsion, Electrical Distribution Systems, and Combat Systems engineering. Responsibilities

    Typical work includes engineering studies and analyses; technology planning; systems architecture development; computer programming; hardware/software applications; operational and performance requirements development; concept and technology development; system design; system development, integration and certification; engineering drawing development and review; production quality engineering; production engineering and test management; test and evaluation; system operations; integrated logistics support; modeling and simulation; configuration management; and systems acquisition and life-cycle management in compliance with industry and Government practices.
  • Analyze program and technical requirements, oversee the execution of contracted tasking, provide programmatic and technical guidance to the Missions Systems Lead, respond to Government GFI and GFE requests, and report program status to leadership as required.
  • Perform a variety of assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/ mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Develop and/or review technical documentation including systems engineering plans, feasibility studies, configuration management plans, test plans and test reports, integrated logistics support plans, and engineering change documentation.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of engineering or scientific work and perform work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices.
  • Perform lead functions as head of Review Teams during analysis of complex assignments relating to systems engineering.
  • Apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop specifications and procedures, develop and analyze designs, and evaluate technical reports.
  • Provide general analysis on the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Advise on the distribution of work among positions and organizations and the appropriate staffing levels and skills mix.
  • Conduct research concerned with design, manufacture and test of components, equipment and systems, including application of equipment to new uses.
  • Prepare program/project briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes, action item reports, and other required program planning documentation.
  • Develop and maintain electronic information and databases concerning the installation, operation, maintenance, and alteration of systems and equipment.
  • Develop evaluation methodology, collect and analyze data to determine the extent to which goals, objectives and requirements are being met.
  • Implement strategies for deploying and utilizing new program planning policy initiatives and measure effectiveness of implementation.
  • Create queries and produce custom reports from databases.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or lead project/program meetings and events.
  • Program Analyst Level VI may have supervisor duties and/or train lower-level analysts.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required; BS in an engineering discipline is preferred
  • Fifteen years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to maintain a Secret clearance
