Supermicro is looking for aSr. Product Managerto own and scale our next-generation DesktopComputeproduct line, sitting at the intersection of engineering innovation, customer demand, and market momentum. In this role, you won't just manage a roadmap - you'll shape how accelerated compute and storage systems are positioned in the market, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to bring differentiated solutions to life. This position will be based in the headquarterslocatedin San Jose, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): Own and drive Supermicro's Desktop, AI PC, and Workstation product portfolio through the full product lifecycle - from concept and PRD to launch, scale, and end-of-life planning. Define product requirements (PRD), roadmap strategy, and platform architecture for high-performance Desktop and AI PC systems, ensuring strong positioning in AI development, content creation, commercial, and enthusiast markets. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and other Product Managers to align desktop roadmaps with corporate AI, accelerated compute, and long-term growth objectives. Ensure seamless integration of AI PC and Desktop Gaming innovations into Supermicro's broader compute portfolio, driving cohesive platform strategy across hardware, firmware, and software layers. Develop and execute detailed project plans for Desktop, Workstation, and Commercial PC systems - spanning GPU enablement, performance optimization, thermal design, firmware, and OS/software validation. Lead end-to-end product launch readiness, coordinating release schedules, enablement materials, and go-to-market execution for Desktop and AI PC platforms. Drive monthly forecasting and demand planning for Desktop and Workstation products in partnership with Procurement and Sales, ensuring supply alignment for high-volume programs. Lead high-volume AI PC/Desktop promotional initiatives, supporting Sales in revenue acceleration and holding accountability for monthly product performance and sell-through targets. Qualifications: Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of product management experience in Desktop PCs, AI PCs, Workstations, Gaming Systems, or related high-performance compute platforms. Deep understanding of the Desktop, Workstation, and Commercial PC markets, including AI development systems, creator workloads, gaming performance trends, and emerging accelerated compute use cases. Proven experience managing end-to-end hardware and software product lifecycles, including platform definition, GPU integration, firmware/BIOS coordination, validation, launch execution, and lifecycle management. Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated experience driving aggressive Time-to-Market (TTM), managing complex schedules, and leading cross-functional execution. Experience forecasting, pricing strategy, margin management, and revenue accountability for high-volume products. Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels - from roadmap definition to detailed feature prioritization and go-to-market alignment. Experience supporting high-volume programs and e-commerce channels is highly preferred. Excellent executive-level presentation and communication skills; able to influence engineering, sales, and leadership stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while operating independently when needed. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial metrics and performance data to drive product decisions. Mandarin language proficiency is a plus. Salary Range $160,000 - $185,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
