What to Expect
The successful candidate will have experience in all facets of manufacturing maintenance. Maintenance supervision and leadership experience with supporting sustainable production as well as new model and/or new equipment introductions is required. Additionally, will be responsible to overlook Maintenance and Engineering projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget and schedule. This person must be able to build upon previous successes and take our Maintenance team to the next level. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.
What You'll Do
- Lead Kaizen events to improve Engineering OEE and identify/implement opportunities for lowest cost of ownership through engineering skills/tools
- Manage maintenance team, and associated workload for Supervisors, Leads, Technicians, and Engineering support to optimize shop availability and performance according to established KPI
- Develop team technical competence, skills, and overall performance. Coordinate and provide technical & non-technical training
- Plan, Prioritize & delegate workload, both daily and shutdown, based on department impact
- Lead team safety audits, maintenance procedure analysis and development, & delegate corrective actions
- Workforce management: day-to-day line support; in-house repair work; vacation scheduling; OT & weekend work scheduling
- Interaction with Production and Engineering Groups, internal customers, and management
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of extensive experience in a supervisory and leadership role overseeing a Maintenance Organization
- Bachelor's Degree in Equipment Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
- Industrial Maintenance experience, with robotic and controls knowledge, in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in developing and maintaining process/manufacturing data and plans using PDCA, Lean, TPM, and 5S initiatives
- High technical aptitude and diagnostic problem-solving skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
