As a Security Officer - Academic Patrols Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
• Monitor the premises for unusual behavior and report any security-related incidents or hazards according to established protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with campus staff, students, and/or visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.
• Assist in access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as appropriate for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
