The opportunity
The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. Interns will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour.
This role is hybrid (3-4 days/week onsite) at 401 Park Drive, Boston. Specific work hours will be determined by the supervisor.
What you'll do
- Support the Fetal-Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center (FNNDSC through projects focused on developing and implementing novel in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to study the placenta and developing fetus
- Collaborate with other investigators, research fellows, and CRAs in a multidisciplinary research environment
- Help maintain study documentation and manage databases (Excel, REDCap, OnCore)
- Assist with segmentation and analysis of MRI images
- Support participant recruitment (e.g., identifying and contacting potential participants, screening, consenting, etc.)
- Observing and assisting with MRI research scans
- Attending research seminars
- Presenting at lab meetings
- Shadowing medical professionals
- Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
- Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities

Who you are
- You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare
- Coursework in biology, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, or a related field preferred
* Detail-orientated, strong organizational and time-management skills
* Excellent communicator, empathetic, and compassionate
* Pre-medical or research-oriented student with an interest in neuroscience, imaging, or maternal-fetal health

- Onboarding: Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program. This includes:
- Scheduling an appointment during one of our on-site onboarding days
- Obtaining appropriate work permits and documentation, as needed
- Proof of Employment Eligibility
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
