Position Title: CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN Position Summary: Verify accuracy of and adjust precision devices, such as meters and gauges, testing instruments, clock and watch mechanisms, to ensure operation of device is in accordance with design specifications. Reports To: Quality Team Leader or Quality Manager Personnel: Not applicable Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties while supporting 6S and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Execute quality calibration operations on time and within the length of time estimated for the operation. Authorities: Determine final disposition of gage repairs with approved subcontractors. Job Qualification Requirements: Educational Experience - High School diploma or GED required. Experience - Basic computer skills required. A minimum of five years related work experience in calibrations preferred. Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
Certification Required - Visual Acuity - Near acuity and accommodations as required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery. Hearing Ability - Accommodations as required to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action and communicate with internal and external customers.
