We are seeking a Manager, Accounting to lead key accounting functions, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and drive process improvements across the organization. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams and support strategic decision-making by delivering timely, accurate financial information. What you'll do:
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of strong internal controls in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Perform critical reviews of accounting activity and financial reports, investigate variances or issues, and provide timely, constructive feedback to team members
- Own and manage the monthly close process, including the close calendar, close checklist, and cross-functional coordination
- Prepare, review, and present the monthly financial reporting package, providing clear explanations of results, key drivers and trends.
- Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between accounting, financial analysis, and business results
- Identify, escalate, and proactively address accounting risks or issues, offering thoughtful recommendations and solutions to leadership
- Manage the external audit process by preparing audit documentation, coordinating audit requests, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance on appropriate accounting treatment and documentation
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development across the accounting team
- Mentor, coach, and support team members to ensure individual tasks, deadlines, and performance objectives are met, promoting consistency and accuracy
- Assist in setting goals and performance objectives that align with broader finance and company initiatives
- Drive process improvements that support business growth, scalability, and operational efficiency
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years of managerial or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong competency in using accounting software (e.g. NetSuite) and understanding how technology can be leveraged for process improvement and data management
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and operational excellence
