DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The mission of the IT Office is to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support the organization's operational needs. We provide high-quality technical support, maintain a robust IT infrastructure, and foster the growth of staff and interns through continuous learning, collaboration, and professional development. During the internship, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including technical support and troubleshooting, hardware setup and maintenance, documentation, inventory management, project-based assignments, customer service, and communication with agency staff and clients. These experiences will support the IT Office in achieving its objectives while allowing you to develop valuable skills in technical competency, IT infrastructure, problem-solving and analytical thinking, professional communication, project execution, organization, and overall career readiness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Internship from January to May 2026
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • You must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must be working toward a degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Government Administration, Information Technology, or another related field.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
