Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales manager to lead a team responsible for acquiring new contracts selling fiber internet services to single-family homes and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) developments. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive team performance to achieve sales targets. This person must have strong business development, conflict, and funnel management skills.The role requires interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills and the ability to assess seller performance and coach performance levels. The successful candidate will achieve desired sales goals using virtual and cross-functional support from internal and external resources.

Impact:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account executives.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Sales Strategy:
    • Create and implement sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Foster strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Performance Management:
    • Track and analyze sales performance metrics.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
    • Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Streamline sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Manage budget and resources effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and customer support to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the telecommunications, real estate, or utilities sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven record of acquiring new business and driving sales growth.
  • Experience working with property managers, HOAs, or developers in MDU and/or SFH communities is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned territory and regularly attend in-person meetings with clients and prospects.

A plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of cable, TV, Internet, and/or Voice products and services
  • Residential Property management or real estate development

Physical Demands:

  • To be successful, this job requires travel with extensive windshield time to accomplish needed territorial coverage.
