DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide oversight and direction for all mail and records management operations within the DMVA. Your work will involve managing the centralized mail room at Fort Indiantown Gap and oversees mail processing, courier services, and the movement of mail among DMVA entities and partner agencies. You will also administer comprehensive state and federal records management in the Records Holding Area to ensure compliant retention, disposition, and file plan management. These responsibilities directly support organizational objectives by promoting operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and secure management of official information. You will need to be able to forecast issues and needs, develop and implement procedures, and communicate effectively. Additionally, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to plan and track projects, develop briefings, and resolve delays or deficiencies. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience supervising staff in a mailroom or records management office
- Experience supervising staff in an administrative operation
- Experience performing quality control or quality assurance on administrative, mailroom, or records-related products/services
- Experience operating mail and office equipment (e.g., electronic postage meter, scanners, copiers, etc.)
- Experience creating work schedules, assigning staff duties, or ensuring office coverage
- Experience performing mail functions (sorting, metering, distributing, handling certified/registered mail, etc.)
- Experience performing records management functions such as retention scheduling, file maintenance, transfers, or disposals
- Experience with federal regulations or compliance requirements in a mailroom, administrative, or records management setting
- Experience managing or working with federal funding
- Experience reviewing, reconciling, or managing billing, accounts, postage charges, or similar financial documentation
