Finance Manager, Business Planning & Performance

The Finance Manager plays a critical role between the functional departments and Finance with the purpose of ensuring the productive development of the units and profitable growth of Hilti North America. Together with the functional departments, this position utilizes world-class financial planning software solutions, develops and consolidates business plans and budgets, identifies key performance drivers, regularly reviews business performance, analyzes performance drivers and deviations, and develops corrective actions in cooperation with the responsible partner in order to ensure business targets are achieved.


What You'll do
  • Develop and consolidate business plans (short, mid, and long-term) to orchestrate the steering of Hilti North America's one-billion-dollar business.
  • Work closely with global finance peers in Global HQ and other Regional HQs to lead and/or support the Shared Leadership business project model.
  • Develop thorough operational understanding of the functional departments to include Profit & Loss (P&L) and financial levers in order to provide guidance on profit improvement through effective reporting practices.
  • Effectively communicate among the Market Organizations (MOs), functional departments, and Finance; gain the trust of the units as a competent business partner to MO and Functional Finance Business Partners.
  • Create and implement relevant measurements and key metrics for business results and processes (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Research, develop, implement, and maintain leading technological solutions to keep Hilti North America financial planning platform at the world class level.
  • Track, analyze, and interpret business results.
  • Define business reporting and coordinate distribution based upon the hierarchical level of recipients.
  • Explore deviations by creating transparency on cause and effect.
  • Make recommendations on corrective actions and maintain the respective tracking.
  • Prepare business result forecasts (year-end and 12 months rolling) with sensitivity analyses.
  • Hire, develop, coach, and retain a team of a high performing analysts.
  • Lead or participate in department projects or tasks on an ongoing and/or as-needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field required; Master's Degree in business related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience required
  • Planning and budgeting experience in an ERP enabled software platform required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • International mobility preferred
