Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) Administrator to manage all aspects of the FMLA process and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of FMLA laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide guidance and support to employees and management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage all aspects of the FMLA process, including leave requests, eligibility determinations, and certification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state FMLA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of leave requests, medical certifications, and employee notifications.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding FMLA policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and supervisors to ensure consistent application of FMLA policies.
  • Monitor and update timekeeping systems to reflect approved FMLA hours.
  • Deliver FMLA training and awareness programs for employees and management as needed.
  • Conduct periodic audits of FMLA records and processes to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
  • Stay current on changes in FMLA regulations and best practices; provide updates and training to HR and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect employee medical information in accordance with applicable laws.


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA regulations and related employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional HR or compliance certifications preferred.


Work Experience

  • Prior experience administering FMLA or similar leave programs strongly preferred.
