This full-time role as Mechanical/Piping Engineer II is about making a lasting impact on the future of sustainable nuclear energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Mechanical/Piping Engineer II in Charlotte NC, you will be part of the Steam Generator Replacement Business Line in the Installed Base Americas Business Unit. Your day-to-day will radiate around a best method approach to support large component replacement through an engineered opening in a lined concrete containment structure. To support large component replacement interconnecting mechanical safety / non-safety systems as well as any interfering mechanical safety / non-safety systems are to be removed, temporarily supported, potentially rerouted, and reinstalled (reconciled) to original design basis qualifications. To achieve this project scope, you will be responsible for integrating with a team of multidiscipline engineers developing engineering changes by applying practical, logical, and fundamental engineering solutions.



What You'll Do Day-To-Day

    Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
  • Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
    • Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $78,000-$102,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
