DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform journey level skilled work in the electrical shop completing projects, as well as tasks in several other trades including plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration. You will install, maintain, operate and make minor or major repairs to various machine shop equipment. You will also repair doors, door frames, flooring, and furniture. This role requires the ability to exercise technical independence when determining the most effective work methods for each task and demonstrated knowledge of the tools, materials, and safety precautions of various trades. In addition, you will operate trucks, stretcher transport vehicles, mini-vans, and wheelchair equipped vans to support institutional transportation requirements and resident trips. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
