Human Resources Generalist

Classification: Non-Exempt

Wage: $28.00 hourly

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Shifts: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Date: December 2025

Job Description

Provides strategic and hands-on support to the HR function in areas including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and recognition. The Human Resource Generalist is directly responsible for the overall administration of the human resource function at the facility.

Essential Functions:


  • Maintains the ADP HIRS system current and accurate for new hires, terminations, employee changes & personal information, LOAs, benefits, and other as required.
  • Ensures federal and state compliance with personnel files and processing I-9 forms.
  • Workers' compensation claim processing and administrative.
  • Follow up with managers on employees' payroll discrepancies to give to payroll.
  • Maintain monthly filing of employment applications, interview results, and EEO Data for applicant tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare and process PAFs for all employee transactions.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to payroll and employees' records and correct all discrepancies.
  • Administer employee recognition programs, company bulletin boards, and newsletters.
  • Process all benefits enrollment, terminations, changes, and corrections to FFG payroll, providers, and within HR ADP.
  • Explain and interpret the company insurance program to employees and dependents.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Process, develop, and analyze HR related information into reports from HRIS ADP.
  • Administer employee badges and access cards.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance Department and the unit's Human Resource Managers to ensure

    conformance with the anti-harassment training program.
  • Formulate internal audit reports, corrective action plans, and implement improvement

    measures as required.

    Effectively collaborate with local Human Resources personnel to facilitate the resolution of

    complaints when appropriate and assist with conducting interviews and investigations.



Other responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist the Office Manager with other assigned projects.
  • Knowledge of internal policies and procedures;
  • General knowledge of HR law and practice, employee orientation;
  • Competent to work independently within the area of expertise;
  • Take responsibility for a small subset of an HR project and work independently with periodic feedback;
  • Know and follow all safety requirements; strive to maintain a safe work environment;
  • Effectively give and receive feedback; willingly ask questions and seek direction, as needed


  • Perform all other duties as directed by the management team.
  • Follow established rules of each unit for entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.



Skills and Qualifications


  • A minimum of 4-5 years broad-based human resource experience;
  • Candidate bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems, particularly ADP;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel.
  • Must be able to function within a team environment.
  • Perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing effective language and basic math skills.
  • Perform tasks under general supervision. Minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard

office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods of time; and reach

with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.

Flexibility with weekdays, evenings and weekends required.
