Job Description

Summary: Responsible for overseeing quality and operation of NADCAP special processes including but not limited to heat treating, calibration, penetrant, pressure testing and metallurgical lab.

Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that their team members adhere to the highest quality standards and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the execution of quality plans including managing tasks, activities, development and performance of an aerospace quality assurance/ control team, including, but not limited to:

* Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to the area to maximize productivity and minimize cost while achieving safety, quality and throughput targets.

* Review and plan for daily/ weekly/ quarterly labor, equipment, and supply requirements to achieve the departmental throughput while meeting and exceeding the productivity targets

* Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.

* Ensure employees are trained on production procedures and practices

* Manage the analysis and periodic testing of various tank solutions.

* Manage chemical processing, titration analysis of tank solutions, and clean line processes to meet compliance standards and expectations.

* Manages the activities of employees on continuous improvement projects

* Support and improve upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.

* Manages required preventative maintenance activities needed for functional areas of responsibility.

* Ability to communicate effectively with personnel, customers, auditors and regulators when relaying pertinent information.

* Follow all Senior Aerospace policies and procedures.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline required with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience and/or a combination of education/training and minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Extensive experience in NADCAP disciplines associated with the functional areas of responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be capable of working effectively with minimal direction and supervision.
