As our Software Engineer, you'll support HID's successby:
- Participating in the team responsible for the Operations Solutions sustaining and supporting activities for our production lines. The team activities include:
- Implementing the industrialization of hardware products (Smart Readers & controllers, etc.)
- Implementing the industrialization of credential profiles
- Shop floor process analysis, solution design, implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment
- Machine Solution integration and deployment
- Sustaining Activities
- Level 2 & 3 Support
- Working with engineering, production and technical support to proactively implement industrial solutions leveraging generic platforms
- Participating in the full design/development/validation/documentation cycles
- Identifying solutions contributing to overall manufacturing process improvements
- Migrating legacy tools and processes to standard platforms
- Maintaining security standards for the site and products
- Interacting with local and global IT teams to set up proper infrastructure
- Embracing the department's overarching architecture and process guidelines
- Embracing A.I. as a tool to build applications and aide in daily workflows
- Providing level 2 & 3 support to local and remote manufacturing teams
- Keeping tight deadlines for software enhancements to match product development schedules
YourExperienceand Background include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with software and solution development, ideally used in industrial applications
- Ability to handle priorities well and stay organized in a dynamic environment
- Must have working experience with the following:
- Strong C# and Python background (2 years minimum),
- Hands-on experience with
- .Net, .NetCore, JSON, XML, Web Services ...
- IDEs and development-related tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, git/bitbucket
- Agile methodologies (SCRUM and SaFe)
- Must demonstrate analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with A.I. models, prompts and agents appreciated.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, verbally and in writing
