Purpose of Position

The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Identifyanddevelop product specification, system design, development,and system integration for new and existing software applications
  • Assistsenior engineers in the designofnew software product concepts and development; create and test product prototypes
  • Conductnew technologyresearch and concept specificationsto influencethedesign of individual software components
  • Collaborate withcross-functional areason products and programs that will contribute to FSI's strategic direction, development,and future growth
  • Monitor, configure,and improve integration with COTS platforms
  • Consult with users on problem determination and provide root cause analysisin a timely manner
  • Accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results
  • Prioritize and manage workload and communicate issues clearly
  • Complete other tasks asrequired
  • Travel whenrequired
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
Minimum Experience
  • 3+years of experiencein any software development role
  • Proficientexperience in .NET platform and MVC
  • Proficientexperiencein Java/J2EEpreferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Solid experience programming in Visual Studio Development Environmentutilizingthe .NET languages (C#,VB.NET).
  • Proficientunderstanding ofWeb Development:HTML5 andJavascript, Reactor similar JavaScript libraries.
  • Knowledge of web service models: SOAP, OData, REST.
  • Proficient experiencewith using SQL Server as a backend preferred.
  • Proficient experiencewithAzure DevOpsand Gitpreferred.
  • Proficient understandingof testing principles, methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strongwritten and verbal communicationsskills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, includingtheability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
